Premium Materials & Finishes- All Base Models

Cedar: We hand craft 100% of our gardens with premium Eastern Red Cedar. Cedar is renowned for its natural oils that make it highly resistant to rot and insect repellent ensuring long-lasting durability in outdoor environments. Cedar is visually appealing with reddish hues and a natural aromatic scent.
Kiln-Drying: We Kiln Dry all our wood to 10-12% moisture content. By reducing the moisture, our cedar becomes a lot more durable and greatly reduces warping, cracking, and decay enhancing its strength and longevity.
S4S: After kiln-drying, all our cedar boards are S4S (Surfaced on Four Sides), ensuring a smooth uniform finish on every piece. This process creates a clean and polished finish for our gardens, enhancing both the atheistic appeal and structural integrity, while making installation and maintenance easier.
Galvanized Fencing: We utilize Black welded wire fencing to provide a strong and secure barrier from deer, rabbits, opossums, and other wildlife.

Premium Materials and Finishes – Add On’s

Pure Tung Oil: All natural, non-toxic, food grade protectant that enhances the durability of the cedar while enhancing the cedar’s wood grains. We utilize a blend of ½ Pure Tung Oil ½ food grade citrus thinner for a deep-penetrating finish which help repel moisture and resist mildew, rot, and cracking. **Re-application of Pure Tung oil every 1-2 years can extend the life of the cedar by 10+ years.
Stain: We use an all-natural, non-toxic, food grade stain to give your garden a customized look while ensuring your garden stays chemical free.
Mesh Barrier: Adding a mesh barrier along the bottom of the raised beds helps prevent burrowing pests like moles and gophers from disturbing your garden while still allowing for proper drainage. The mesh also assists in retaining your garden soil while reducing weed intrusion.
